I need to remember to keep things in perspective in my own life and learn to view my problems, my blessings, my relationships, and myself from a godly perspective, for it is only God's perspective that truly matters.

Perspective
This is a panoramic view of some of Utah Valley. I took this photo as Tami and I hiked our way up to the "G" above Pleasant Grove. You can see Utah Lake in the distance, and if you could see closely enough you could make out the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, where Tami and I were married, on the right side. As I ponder this view I begin to consider the concept of perspective. From this vantage point, up above the many buildings and roads and people down in the valley, the world seems like a vast mosaic of tiny objects. I thought to myself that it seemed as though I could reach out and grab handfuls from this scene. It was even as though I could carefully pick up the magnificent temple between my finger and thumb and study it from every angle with a turn of my wrist. This is all illusionary, of course. Once we climbed back down from the mountain we would get back into our car and drive on those roads and walk into those buildings with countless others, but for a moment, I felt as if I were set apart from the world I saw before me. I wonder now if somehow I saw, to a miniscule degree, a glimpse of what God sees. Perhaps His all-knowing nature along with His ability to see past, present, and future has a something to do with His perspective. He can see everything laid out before Him because He is set apart from the world, viewing it from His exalted throne on high. This magnificent perspective allows Him to be all-seeing and all-knowing.
